The central stairwell connecting the Second Floor to the First Floor and Attic
The Second Floor of Northcrest Manor, lying just below the Attic, is connected to the upper level as well as the First Floor by a massive, central staircase.
The Second Floor is noteworthy for having no guards patrolling the corridors, due to the traps rigged into the floor panels. To disable these, Garrett must enter the Second Floor via either the upper half of the Library, or by climbing up with the Claw in the Great Hall, as one of the wireboxes in particular can only be accessed via a vent in the lounge overlooking the Great Hall.
The hallway on this level also leads to the upper balconies overlooking the mansion's foyer, ultimately leading up to the Baron's Study Tower. A framed engraving of two lions will also lead to the Baron's secret vault, containing his family heirloom.
